On Saturday 21st September 2019 the Shilnavogie Amateur Sheep Dog Trial took place. This trial has been taking place annually since 1962, and the very first winner was Stewart Morton.

On the day of the trial an amazing sum of £870 was raised, but in early November the Shilnavogie Sheepdog Society were delighted to present Air Ambulance NI with a cheque for £1,100 from this year's amateur trial, a further £230 raised following the trial.

During the presentation Grace Williams, Air Ambulance NI Fundraising Manager took time to meet and explain to the committee the work that Air Ambulance NI do and how the money that is raised will support the charity. 12.5% of all Air Ambulance NI call outs are farm related, and without donations the charity wouldn't be able to help those in need.

Shilnavogie Sheepdog Society sincerely thank every single person that contributed to this year's trial, whether it was a donation, gathering prizes, donating your time or just your overall support, they are forever grateful that a small community can make such an impact.
