Chairman's Update - 07th Dec 2021 - Welcome to CEO and Update.

Further to my Chairman’s message in the November/December edition of the ISN; I am pleased to confirm that our new CEO Isabel Branch took up her position with us on 1st December.
I look forward to Isabel settling into her post and trust that everyone in the Society will offer her a warm welcome and their support going forward.
Council has identified a considerable number of areas within our Society which require updating and a much more professional approach to make us compliant with current regulations and fit for the future.
Our Office staff have now returned to working from the Bedford office and we have recruited two trainee Registration Officers to assist with the volume of work. Our processes are very time consuming and complex mainly due to poor IT infrastructure which makes training new staff slow and consuming of present Officer’s time.
Council have agreed to update the IT over the coming year as a priority. Isabel is keen to meet as many members as possible and the upcoming AGM on 29th January will probably be her first real opportunity to do so.
