International Sheep Dog Society - Chief Executive Officer

We are offering the opportunity to take on this key role and to lead our organisation’s change programme. The Society is going from strength to strength, we need someone to support members in their quest to make sure the organisation continues to succeed and is fit for a bright future.

We are looking for not only someone who is as passionate about our cause as we are but also someone who:

Is a strategic thinker

Has experience in senior management, ideally in the charity sector

Has high level expertise in financial management, ICT systems management, HR, events management and marketing

Are you looking for the chance to make a real impact and would you welcome the challenge of shaping and managing our organisation?

If so, this is the role for you.

This is an incredibly rewarding position with a high level of autonomy and a chance for a self-starter with the initiative and business acumen to come and put a stamp on a role to make it their own.

You will be an integral part of the charity’s governance structure, managing a well-established team of support staff and liaising closely with our Chair, the Council of Trustees and Directorate.

You will need be able to make difficult, empathetic decisions whilst acting with integrity. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

The job will involve a blend of working from home and visits to our Bedford office. There will also be occasional travel throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
