Chairman update 5th May 2021 - Open Trials
5 May 2021
I am pleased to report further on my message regarding resumption of trialling in England from 29th March in response to relaxation of COVID regulations. Wales and Scotland can now join England in running open trials under the COVID relaxation allowing outdoor leisure activities to resume. Therefore from the 1st May National points can also be gained at qualifying open trials in Wales and Scotland. Open points can only be gained in a competitors country of residence until Ireland is in the same position as other nations.
Please remember that there are still COVID regulations which must be adhered to and it is important that trials implement these rules. Please note that until further notice an open fronted pen is permitted so that there are no cleaning issues with ropes, gates etc between competitors. We must respect and implement these regulations so that there is no shadow cast over our Nationals and International later in the season.
Kind Regards,
Ian Fleming
