2014 National Trial Entries
684 individual dog entries and 31 doubles entries.
Entries for each nation were:
- England 201 (22% increase from 2013)
- Ireland 171
- Scotland 156
- Wales 156
The qualifying ‘points cut’ for each nation is as follows:
England – 13* points, Ireland – 10* points
Scotland no points cut and Wales – no points cut.
Reserve places for each nation are as follows:
England – 5 Reserves
Ireland – 5 Reserves
Scotland – No Reserves
Wales – No Reserves
England received the highest number of entries for Doubles - 12 pairs.
*England - There were ten dogs with 13 points so a random draw was held to identify which handlers completed the third day runners, and a further random draw to identify which handlers were Reserves, with the remaining entries being rejected.
*Ireland - There were six dogs with 10 points and therefore a random draw was held to identify which handlers completed the third day runners, and which handlers were identified as Reserves. A further random draw was held for those dogs with 9 points to achieve the fifth reserve place.
Note - Alternate dogs were rejected if their points were less than the cut-off
