In Programme 8 of Farpaisean Chon-Chaorach we catch all the highlights from the second day of the Internationals in Stoneleigh Park, Warkwickshire where we see the last qualifying stage before the final 16 earn the right to challenge for the Supreme title. Tonight, reigning Supreme Champion, Scot Ian Brownlie, runs with his second dog, Mo. Following the disappointment of his run with last year’s winning dog Gus, Ian is determined to do his utmost to hold on to the trophy.
In this episode we have another ‘Meet the Team’ feature, with Mairi Alice Bartlett travelling to meet with best of the best at the Irish National. President Con McGarry is in confident voice, telling Mairi Alice of his ‘great expectations’ for Ireland at the International. The team includes James McGee, a World Champion in 2011.
Our final ‘Meet the Team’ features explores the who’s who of the Welsh side and Catriona MacPhee heads to Penybont for the Welsh National. President Alun Jones explains that his team are youthful but experienced, evidenced in young Arwyn Davies who has earned a place in the national side for the first time.
