ISDS Health Advisory Committee

In 2023, the Annual Directors Meeting approved an exciting new initiative — the creation of a dedicated Health Advisory Committee to support, inform, and educate everyone with an interest in the Border Collie, from long‑standing ISDS members to new enthusiasts.

This group brings together five specialists with extensive expertise in canine and Border Collie health. They meet regularly to review emerging issues, discuss conditions becoming more common within the breed, and share clear, accessible guidance to help owners make informed decisions.

Their role is simple: to advise, to educate, and to empower — not to set rules or enforce policy.

If you have a question, a concern, or a topic you’d like the Health Advisory Committee to explore and report on, they’d be glad to hear from you. Contact: office@isds.org.uk
