English National Trials 2007
Carlton-in-Cleveland, N. Yorks, 16 August
Posted 8:20 p.m. (final update 9:00 a.m., 17/08/07)
Busby Park has proved an excellent location. Because of sheep movement restrictions, following the foot and mouth concerns in Southern England, the method of selecting the English Team has been modified. Instead of taking the 15 highest pointed over all three days, the top five from each day will be successful. The champion will be selected from a run-off between the three first placed dogs from each day. The Reserve will be the highest placed 'sixth dog'.
At run number 52, the top six are as follows:

The sheep and running has been very good leading to long runs, and reasonable points. A standard had been set mid-afternoon and towards the end of the day this had an effect, as well as the running becoming more difficult.
