Trials Diary
The biggest trials in the UK and Ireland are the ISDS National and International Trials, held every year. There is also the ISDS World Trial, held every three years, the next being in 2011.
When details of these, and the annual Continental Trial are available, they will be listed on the Major Trials page.
There are hundreds of local trials held every year, ranging from small events with few facilities up to medium and large size events with catering and often other side events to keep the interest not only of dedicated sheepdog people but also of the more cosmopolitan members of the general public.
The current list, divided into regional groups by date is to be found
on the Local Trials page.
For the
latest trials news, updated fully every Tuesday morning, and again during the week as new information comes in, visit the Latest Trials News page. The details from this page are transferred to the other trials diary pages immediately before the following Tuesday's full update, and the Latest Trials News page starts again from new.
Qualifying points for National trials Please note that posting of a trial on the Latest News or Local Trials page of this website at least two weeks before its date with a telephone contact number will be accepted as valid 'advertising' for qualifying points purposes, but not if the trial is closed or full. Note that under the ISDS Rules you may choose to 'advertise' elsewhere and this is equally acceptable.
Please email details
of your trials as soon as possible to trialsnews@isds.org.uk, giving date, venue, how to get there and postcode if possible (for Sat Nav users), type of trial (Open, Novice, Nursery, Brace etc), whether entries are on the field or in advance, and a contact phone number (and email if available).
