Advent Calendar - Shepherding Highlights
No 21 - The 1969 International The final day of the 1969 International at Chester saw no fewer than six former International Supreme Champions competing for the top prize, including three running former Supreme Champion dogs: Jock Richardson's Wiston Cap (1965), Llyr Evans' Bosworth Coon (1968) and Herbert Worthington's Juno (1963). Add to them Thomson McKnight, the 1967 champion, running Jaff; Alan Jones, 1961 champion, running Lad; and Meirion Jones, the 1959 champion, running Craig, and it is clear that the competition was going to be intense.
However, in the end, it was Harry Huddleston and Bett (above) who took the Supreme title, beating Bosworth Coon into second place by eight points with all the other champion dogs and handlers further down the score sheet.
